Nature Summer Camp at JCP
We are pleased to be offering a unique Nature Summer program for preschool aged children.
Nature Summer Camp at JCP is a carefully and thoughtfully constructed camp designed to provide preschoolers with a phenomenal camp experience filled with lots of outdoor fun and adventure, while meeting the needs of children ages 18 months – 6 years.
Located in the great facilities of the Jewish Creative Preschool and staffed by our remarkably loving, devoted and professional educators, you can expect the quality and care that you are used to. We ensure a welcoming, enriching and fun-filled summer program.
Join us this summer for hands-on, outdoor, experiential learning! Engage in fun summer activities that are sure to foster an appreciation for and love of nature by inviting the campers to explore the world around them through a multicultural nature curriculum. Explore the traditions and engage the imagination of your child in make believe play, real research and rich exploration. Be a part of a mixed age environment with small teacher-to-child ratios that encourages a warm, caring, collaborative community that values mentorship, emotional growth and active play!

What makes JCP's Outdoor Space Unique?
- Active waterfall
- LARGE loose parts access
- It is a well appointed space that feels open to the children but offers ideals lines of sight for teachers, allowing children maximum sense of freedom and independence while giving caregivers maximum ability to supervise the area without hovering
- It gives access to forest school experiences, but in a more structured easily monitored environment.
- Offers adventure play (such as climbing natural structures, running water that is shallow and easily supervised, tree cover that feels immersive to the children but allows for ease of supervision) in a relatively low risk environment.
- Well shaded and easily cooled areas (for a ‘best of both world’s summer experience)
- All this in addition to our mud kitchen, sandbox, vegetable garden and music wall.

Daily Activities Include:
- Splash Time and Water Play
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- Nature Exploration
- Weekly Music Program
- Gardening and Cooking with freshly picked vegetables
- Art and Sensory Activities
- Weekly Challah baking and Shabbat Celebration
- Weekly special visiting entertainers such as pony rides, petting zoo, clown shows, bubble and reptile shows, to name a few.
Dates:
The eight week summer program begins June 24 through August 16.
There is an option to join for one or two sessions. Sessions are four weeks.
The first session is from June 23rd - July 18th. The second session is from July 21st - August 15th.
